I use the Nokta sand scoop on sand or a digging fork on shingle. Sometimes a Draper spade .

The scoop has an aluminium pole So thankfully it might last a while .
I’ve recently sold the equinox 800 and the deus2 , so I’ve bought a vanquish 540 for £300 hopefully...
If on sand it’s the scoop and on shingle better a shovel than a spade.
If your scoop has a wooden pole get it changed for carbon fibre or aluminium as wooden handles tend to snap at the most...
