Mode vs Advanced Mode and weights
A question that gets asked a lot is how much does this machine
weigh? Here is what my trusty uncertified kitchen scale reads:
Machine complete minus headphones- 4 pounds 9 ounces
Machine without battery and head phones- 3 pounds 15 ounces
Differences between operating in Quickstart Mode and Advanced Mode:
The ONLY difference in the two modes is the amount of user controls
the operator has over the detector. The machine is just as sensitive
and powerful in EITHER modes. Advanced Mode just lets you customize
your adjustments a lot further for your personal needs and preferences.
I will provide a breakdown of the different adjustments available
in both the Quickstart and Advanced Modes:
"QUICK START"
Menu Screens
1. SELECT. You can only choose the preset discrimination patterns
in the Quickstart mode or Iron mask and then you can only adjust
the level of Iron mask
2. DISPLAY.
A. Digital
B. Smart
C. Contrast
3. AUDIO.
A. Volume= max limit and gain
B. Tone= lowest, variable and limits
C. Sounds=constant, conductivity and ferrous
4. OPTIONS.
A. Advanced
B. Quick
"ADVANCED"
Menu Screen
1. SAVE DISCRIMINATION.
A. S1,S2,S3,S4,S5,S6 (this is where you can save up to 6 of your
own customized discrimination patterns)
2. SELECT. You may choose any of the preset discrimination patterns
and any of the 6 extras that you can make up for yourself or any
combination of any.
3. DISPLAY.
A. Digital
B. Edit
C. Smart
D. Learn
E. Contrast
4. AUDIO.
A. Volume= max limit and gain
B. Tone= lowest, variability and limits
C. Sounds= constant, conductivity and ferrous
5. OPTIONS.
A. Advanced
B. Quick
C. Noise
D. Response= normal, audio1, audio 2 and audio 3
E. Recover= fast and deep
6. Settings
A. Load user A or B
B. Save user A or B
As you can see from above, Advance Mode gives you a lot more flexibility
to adjust you detector to suit your needs.
