lads and lasses, the time of reckoning is here. Gary and I have built
this new site for you all at our own time and expense so far as we
feel sometime in the possible near future we are going to outgrow
the communities MLO forum. Communities shut MLO down in the third
week of January just gone because we had used up our allotted 30000
free page views that month. This is going to happen on a more regular
basis in future as the site becomes more and more popular.
Several months ago it was suggested by quite a few members that the way to go was to build our own site and for all the regular visitors to pay a very nominal amount each year for the privilege to belong and to access all the features that we all like to see and use. Well we did it. The site is up as you can see and going great guns with 4000 page hits in a little over our first week live. The features that will be added shortly will include a much larger and improved Image gallery, a Notepad and whos on as in MLO. Plus many other useful bits and pieces. What we have decided to do is to ask all of you who wish to access the full site in the future to pay a once a year fee of £20. For this you will receive full access to the Minelab owners club website. A certificate and badge of membership to the club. A personal E mail address your.name@minelabowners.com And a regular newsletter of club goings on. Out of this fee a donation will be made to the National Foster care association of £1 from every member. Any surpluses from these fees will be carried forward for such things as club outings, rallys, additions to the website etc, etc. Those visitors to the site who don’t wish to contribute to the upkeep will only be able to access a much smaller version with a basic image gallery etc, etc. This is your chance to back us up and prove that you want this site as much as we do. We have planned our first rally as a club already for this summer in Norway. This is only the start of things. We have many other ideas in the pipeline. Please also send us your ideas for activities for the future. This is going to be the best site for metal detecting on the Internet no danger. Please send your subscriptions to. |
