Explorer Programme With Extreme Depth

This programme was used recently while recovering the Nottinghamshire hoard of gold & silver hammered coins. Most of the coins were 6 - 8 inches deep in the top soil….however, the last group of coins were recovered at a depth of 16 inches !! as can be verified by my fellow members of the Nottinghamshire Detecting & Recovery Team. This programme has proved beyond any doubt that it can pick up very deep targets from a hammered penny to a gold noble at great depth…..cheers John.

Volume -----------------' 10 (set headphones to suit)
Gain ---------------------' 7
Threshold ---------------' set to your own choice, I use 6 (silent)
Tone Threshold --------' 10
Tone Variability -------' 6
Limits -------------------' 8
Sounds ------------------' Ferrous
Response ---------------' Audio 1 (to boost any weak signals)
Recovery ---------------' Deep
Display -----------------' Advanced Smartfind
Sensitivity -------------' 18 - 32 (depending on ground conditions)

You may find these settings a little noisy at first…then reduce the sensitivity until you are happy. Also you will need to use a greatly reduced discrimination pattern than the one offered on the initial smartfind screen, but you can figure that one out on a rainy day with a few cans of beer.
