Was it repaired by an authorised repair centre, if so under warranty send it back for fixing.
Little point is you should only press once the menu button, not hold it down :)
Rich you never gave the CTX a chance when you had it as its see through as you put it took the ET and put it on steroids.
Its an ideal detector for the beaches either your pebbles or my sand :)

I must agree the equinox is abysmal at target ID :(

One in particular claimed the D2 was the best thing since the E800 now singing the Leg-End is the best thing since sliced bread and the D2 :)
