    Detecting in Belgium?

    Hi

I'm going to Belgium and the city of Bornem in august 2011 for the Dodentocht march.
Thought that I could arrive some days earlier and try some detecting?

Does anyone know the Belgium laws?

Have someone in the forum been to Belgium, any tips or locations?

Belgium is a no no other than the beaches. Similar to spain & sweden.
Why Waste time using an ordinary detector when you have the option to use an E Trac.

Many of the battlefields are becoming archaeologically protected. Just step on the grass around Vimy ridge and you get shouted at by a Canadian bloke who refuses to speak English .

I think that many of the archaeological groups are quite grateful for help from people with detectors, so if you can get in touch with them before you go....

Brugge in Belgium is a very nice place to visit. I really enjoyed a few days there. But I know nothing about detecting there.

Might work in Belgium from Nov 01 till Dec 23.
Could use and update on detecting there. Will be located in Genk.
I think they have different rules for each municipality or region.
Looking for any info or tips.
    Thanks
    Scott

I know there have been coach trips from Kent/Essex to detect on the beaches around Adinkerke.

These guys might be able to help, I think they are based, or have a branch in, dePanne.
