    Gog's E-trac minimal iron pattern mode

    Here is my 'latest' pattern mode that will run reasonably quietly. Dig all repeatable middle and low tones.... and all sweet rounded repeatable high tone signals where the curser is away from the bottom right corner of the screen. Pinpoint using 'sizing' all iffy signals and see where the crosshair sits (bottom right is usually iron.) If it's too deep to pinpoint, DIG!
    Other settings
    Set sensitivity to manual and run as high as possible (conditions allowing.)
    Audio threshold pitch should be set at 1 (very important).

    Hi there!
    I'm going to be another E-Trac user! I've already started to "study". Which is the difference between pattern and mode files?

    Modes are complete programs including a pattern, but patterns are just discrimination patterns without settings.

    Still we are seeing new users having problems opening E-Trac file extensions... so I am posting this here again;

    To open .mode files;
    1. Download and save the file to your desktop.
    2. Open the xchange software and connect your ET to your PC.
    3. Switch on ET.
    4. In the Xchange software window, choose the "I want to:" drop down box and choose 'Open mode from file' and push the open button.
    5. In the new window, navigate to the desktop and choose the mode file you downloaded.
    6. Then click 'open' button to load it to the Xchange software.
    To upload the mode settings to ET;
    In the Xchange software window, use the "I want to:" drop down box and choose 'Upload mode to E-trac'. Then select where on ET you want them to go (Current Mode, My Mode 1, My Mode 2, My Mode 3, My Mode 4, ). I usually upload them to 'Current mode' and then review and save them within the E-Trac save menu (User Modes).

    To use .etrac files;
    1. Download and save the backup file and save it to your desktop.
    2. Open the xchange software and connect your ET to your PC.
    3. Switch on ET.
    4. look at the top menu and choose 'Backup' and then scroll down to 'Restore a Backup to E-Trac...'
    5. Choose my file called 'full-backup.etrac' from where ever you saved it to (Desktop.)
    6. Then click open to load it to E-Trac following the onscreen prompts.

    To use .ptrn files;
    1. Download and save them to your desktop.
    2. Open the xchange software and connect your ET to your PC.
    3. Switch on ET.
    4. In the Xchange software window, click the 'patterns' tab to veiw the patterns window.
    5. Click the "I want to:" drop down box and choose "Upload a pattern to E-Trac''.
    6. Find "1. Open a file with a pattern" and push the open button below.
    7. In the new window, navigate to the desktop and choose the .ptrn file.
    8. Then click 'Open...' button to open the pattern in the Xchange software window.
    9. In the second drop down box titled "2. Select the slot and press 'upload'" choose one of the eight choices to upload the pattern to.

    Son probablemente en preparación para visita a Corfe Rally en dos semanas.

    He intentado hacer una traducción española de mis instrucciones, pero estoy teniendo apuro con términos españoles. Por ejemplo: en inglés, la 'Desk Top' es el área de trabajo en un monitor de la computadora. ¿En español llamó de escritorio? Éstos son los problemas que tengo... Hablo español solamente un poco.

    Espero que usted pueda entender esto;

    Para abrir archivos de .mode;

    Hi Guys is it just me having a bad day? I obviously can read the threads but I cannot see any pattern modes to download, really wanted to try your minimal iron pattern mode and set up Gog.
    Also I have been looking at tadpole type set ups but noticed there are a few out there along the same lines but with subtle differences in blacked out areas any guidance as in reasonable iron infested sites the constant high pitches are distracting and would like to tone it down a bit. Have been running previously in 2 or multi ferrous with most of top line taken out bar of course the gap to the right, but want to run in conductivity multi but just need to silence some of the iron without killing any decent stuff
    Cheers
