Stigfossen - if I were to dig a hole three feet deep and three feet wide in the middle of a field there is one thing for certain....... I would be digging something no Archie would even get a sniff of if he lived to be 10,000 years old! There argument about damaging our history doesn't hold any water as far as I'm concerned. The more we find detecting the better. Keeps them in a job a little while longer

But it aint a full metre down, more like 60 cm or a bit more. Two feet maybe.

But they could have very long arms for what i know.

If you dig a hole 3 feet deep to retrieve a target, you should take pictures as you dig to record layers, otherwise you might be damaging the structure for ever.

Its a shame that there are some who wish to antagonise the arkies, we should try and work together, not stab each other.

thats my opinion !
